Therapeutic Foster Care Program
In the Therapeutic Foster Care program, children ages 3-17 who are in the custody of the Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) are matched with trained Therapeutic Foster Care parents who can provide for the needs of the child.
Therapeutic Foster Care parents are contracted with Methodist Family Health and may take a maximum of two children considered too severe for most other long-term residential settings. A major focus is to establish meaningful relationships with the Therapeutic Foster Care parents by blending the child into the existing family unit. Therapy services are an integral part of treatment. The youth attend public schools.
