Early Childhood Development Center
The Early Childhood Development Treatment Center located on the Fillmore Campus in Little Rock serves infants and children from birth to age 5 with behavioral, emotional, and/or learning problems. It is a program of Methodist Children's Home.
The program provides a vehicle for early intervention in order to prevent possible future placements or interventions. In addition, the program’s multidisciplinary team provides children and families the necessary tools to develop goal setting, problem solving, stress/anger management and improved social skills. Individual, group, and family counseling address the presenting problem, how to transition back to public preschool or school setting, coping with peer pressure, learning how to “play” with peers appropriately, and working with families on parenting skills. Education ratio is 1:3 (teacher : student).

·Referral sources - Families, mental health professional or a social service, other preschool programs in tri-county area, educational cooperatives.
·Capacity - Licensed for 30 children
·Length of stay - average length of stay is one year; staff supports transition into school program for up to 30 days
·Criteria for acceptance - birth to age 5, history of aggressive and/or violent behavior, emotional difficulties.
·Uses the Teaching-Family Model
·Payment sources - Medicaid, Department of Human Services, private insurance, private pay.
·Aftercare, placement and follow-up - Continuum resources
·Licensed by: Department of Human Services, and as a Department of Developmental Disabilities Satellite Center.
