Methodist Crisis Response Team
Methodist Family Health is committed to serving the needs of its community through its crisis response team (CRT). Methodist CRT responds to the needs of victims, especially children and those with long-term psychological problems.
Methodist CRT offers training to mental health professionals and laypersons, and it assists with early psychological intervention within its community, especially to psychological needs of children after exposure to horrific events. The team responds to the needs of victims of catastrophic events such as recent hurricanes Katrina and Rita, assisting neighboring state mental healthcare professionals in the aftermath of a sentinel event, helping communities cope with suicides, and debriefing law enforcement and educators following major crises.
Methodist CRT supports and supplements the five central Arkansas local crisis response teams when requested.
Methodist Family Health houses the office of Ginger Bankston Bailey, the Arkansas Crisis Response Team Executive Director. In addition, Methodist Family Health CEO Andy Altom is the chair of the Arkansas Crisis Response Team board of directors.
